Scenes from the Royal Palace of Brussels

A few weeks ago I was in Brussels for the Cathedral of Saint Michael and Saint Gudula, but while I was walking towards the station, I remembered that the Royal Palace is also open during the summer months. It’s pretty close to Brussels Central station, and I walked there. It’s quite an imposing palace, and it was a lot busier than I expected. The palace stands on the place of the old Palace of Coudenberg and its current facade dates from the 1900’s.

Entrance to the palace is free, but there are only a few rooms open to the public.

It’s quite an amazing palace, and it’s great that it’s open during the summer and free too! However, it is pretty empty, and only a few rooms are open to the public so be prepared for that. The Palace is open to the public until 6 September!
