Queen Mary’s Edwardian Tiara was added to her collection in 2012 after it was bought at auction.

The tiara came from the Bruun Rasmussen auction house and they described it as a “diamond jewellery set comprising a necklace and a pair of later ear screws set with numerous rose and old mine-cut diamonds, circular-cut rubies and spinels, mounted in 14k gold and silver.”1 The necklace can be converted into a tiara.

Mary did not wear the piece until 2015, which can probably be explained by the work that was needed to restore it.
