A reliquary with the right hand of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna will be brought to St. Petersburg from 5 May to 11 May.

It is being brought over to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, which eventually led to Elizabeth’s death a year later. It will remain at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the St. Alexander Nevsky Lavra from 5 May until 9 May and will then move to the Cathedral of the Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God in memory of the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov from 9 May until 11 May.

The relic will be ceremoniously met on 5 May at 12.30pm at the St. Alexander Nevsky Lavra.

See photos of the relic here.
