Kensington Palace was once the home of Diana, Princess of Wales and it currently houses a collection of her extraordinary collection of garments with the aim of telling the story of her life through her clothes.
Eleri Lynn, curator of ‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’, said: “Diana, Princess of Wales, was one of the most photographed women in the world, and every fashion choice she made was closely scrutinised. Our exhibition explores the story of a young woman who had to quickly learn the rules of royal and diplomatic dressing, who in the process put the spotlight on the British fashion industry and designers.”
I was pleasantly surprised by ‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’ as I have to admit that I have very little interest in fashion. The atmosphere breathes Diana and the dresses and suits are absolutely gorgeous. The exhibition was totally packed so it’s pretty popular and Kensington Palace has already decided to extend it. It’s truly a must-see!
Admission to the exhibition is included in a ticket to Kensington Palace but be advised that tickets are selling out quickly!
I have always loved all the beautiful gowns that Princess Diana would wear, she
was one beautiful woman & she should still be alive. Her death came way too soon,
she was only 36 years old, she had a lot of living to do. So now all I can say is:
REST IN PEACE DIANA…
