Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is perhaps the most famous woman alive and yet we actually know very little about her. We will probably have to wait until her death to be provided with an official biography and until then we are left grasping at what we can see in the press. Elizabeth Revealed is promoted as a “lively and affectionate celebration of The Queen’s long and eventful life.”
Although I thoroughly enjoyed the photos, the facts were nothing new and were often hard to read because of the glossy pages. I was surprised to see Diana, Princess of Wales titled as “Princess Diana” in a publication endorsed by Historic Royal Palaces. I know she is often referred to as such but to use it in publications? Overall, the book has nice photos but don’t buy it if you’re looking for something new.
Elizabeth Revealed: 500 Facts About The Queen and Her World by Lucinda Hawksley is available now in both the UK and the US.
